This week we talk about two misconceptions that can keep hampering your walk of faith, especially if you believe you are enslaved to sin.  1) I can't be guilty of committing the same sin over and over again and still be a "good" Christian. 2) I obviously don't have the power to quit sinning, so why try?  You will be given scriptural texts that explain how you have been freed from the consequences of sin as well as given the power of the Holy Spirit to assist you in overcoming sin in your life.

Happy Memorial Day.  For the listeners employing the book end method for current studies they will work with Philippians 4:13 and memorize that scripture.  For those utilizing time blocking, they will study the same scripture but will expand their knowledge with additional information obtained through various translations, concordances, or commentaries on that particular scripture.

Basing your identity as someone's mother or wife can bring temporary satisfaction but will miss the boat on complete fulfillment.  Finding ways to keep your finger on your own personality and creativity while in the motherhood season of life, will enable you to move forward when that season changes and you have time for a different focus.

Finding ways throughout the day to remind myself of the Scripture I have studied.  3.  Pray to God for help in establishing my identity in Him, relieving my fear of rejection, and giving me hope that I will find my people.
